The pace of life here is wonderfully slow. For a bit more exploration, we ventured up the Kali Strata – hundreds of steps leading to Chorio, the upper town. The panoramic views from the top, especially at sunset, were absolutely spectacular, offering a different perspective of the island's beauty.

Symi's beaches are mostly accessible by small boat trips from the harbour, which only adds to their secluded charm. We took a short trip to Agia Marina, a truly idyllic cove with towering cliffs and crystal-clear turquoise waters – perfect for swimming and snorkelling in complete tranquility.
